The Four Immeasurables Practice and Discussion

March 25th

Date details +

The Four Immeasurables—the cultivation of loving-kindness, compassion, sympathetic joy, and equanimity—are practices that help us develop deeper understanding through contemplation.

Practice includes guided Shamatha instruction, followed by guided contemplations in The Four Immeasurables. A short talk and group discussion of some aspect of this practice follow.

May all beings enjoy happiness, and the root of happiness.

May they be free from suffering and the root of suffering.

May they enjoy the great happiness devoid of suffering.

May they dwell in the great equanimity free of passion, aggression, and ignorance.

The Four Immeasurables practice is open to everyone at any level of experience in meditation and Buddhist study. Last Thursday of each month from 6:00 - 7:30. There is no cost to attend, though donation are always welcome and appreciated. If you have questions please contact Meli-Tashi Happy [email protected]
