Open House Talk: Selfishness as the Path of the Bodhisattva
with Billy Goldner
Please join us December 5th for a dharma talk at Thursday Open House. This month will feature Billy Goldner giving a talk entitled, "Selfishness as the Path of the Bodhisattva".
The evening will start at 7pm with twenty minutes of meditation. After the talk, there will be group discussion, wrapping up around 8:30 pm.
About Billy Goldner:
Billy Goldner is ordained as a Buddhist Minister (Upadhyaya) in the Shambhala Lineage, and he studied Buddhist chaplaincy in a multi-year program with Roshi Joan Halifax and the Upaya Zen Center. Along with his chaplaincy service and ongoing education in hospitals in Oregon and Seattle, Billy co-facilitates a monthly grief support group called "Making Friends with Death & Dying" along with Chaplain Alley Smith through Shambhala online. Billy is also currently navigating the profound waters of caregiving for his elderly parents during a time of major health and life transition for them. Billy has been a student of Shambhala since 2014, he has been offering meditation instruction since 2017, and he has been a member of a Teacher Circle based out of the Boulder Shambhala center since 2019.
