You Are Completely Workable - Online Meditation Retreat and Center fundraiser - is an opportunity to practice with the community online for the entire weekend or only for a portion of the program. Seattle Shambhala teachers will offer short talks, meditation instruction, and lead us through silent and walking meditation.

The view of this retreat is that each of us are completely workable. For those attending the entire retreat, each of the 4 portions will explore this workability and tools for uncovering and relating with it. Each of the four portions also act as stand-alone practice sessions for those who can only attend part of the weekend.

You Are Completely Workable and you can find this for yourself by stabilizing and befriending you own mind through meditation practice.

  • Friday evening explores the view of Maitri (friendship with self) and how meditation-in-action can help us develop friendship with ourselves and our community, followed by guided meditation instruction and silent meditation practice with Rick Meyers & Meli-Tashi Happy.
  • Saturday morning explores uncovering our tender heart, and how to soften, taking along our companions of gentlenessand curiosity, followed by guided meditation instruction and silent meditation practice (there will be a 1 hour lunch break from 12:30-1:30 PM) with Natalie Pascale Boisseau & Meli-Tashi Happy.
  • Saturday afternoon explores steadfastness in our path of making friends with ourselves through meditation practice along with our companions of patience and a sense of humor, followed by guided meditation instruction and silent meditation practice with Bob Salskov & Meli-Tashi Happy.
  • Sunday morning explores Maitri and community with a focus on our shared path of meditation practice bringing us together, followed by guided meditation instruction and silent meditation practice with Alan Ness & Meli-Tashi Happy.

It is okay to leave the practice early, but you must arrive within 10 minutes of the start time or contact us to arrange a late arrival permission.

Prerequisites: Initial meditation instruction and some practice with Seattle Shambhala in-person or in online programs. Those fairly new to meditation practice or who have limited availability may choose to attend portions of the retreat.

This retreat is a fundraiser for the Seattle Shambhala Center to take care of the retreat center’s needs. Whether we go to the center in person or not, we are all anchored by the center and its continued fruition benefits us all.

If you can’t attend this program, please feel welcome to offer a donation on our website - use subsidize a program option and noting it as the online retreat fundraiser.
