    Join us for meditation, refreshments, and discussion with our visiting guest, Acharya Holly Gayley. This is a gift to our community and we hope you will be able to join us for the entire morning. 

    Open to everyone, and free meditation instruction is available.

    About the Teacher:

    ACHARYA HOLLY GAYLEY, a professor of Buddhist Studies and senior teacher in the Shambhala lineage, has focused her research and writings on the stories of Buddhist women practitioners. Most recently, in her book Love Letters from Golok: A Tantric Couple in Modern Tibet, Gayley chronicles the courtship between two Buddhist tantric masters, Tāre Lhamo and Namtrul Rinpoche, and their role in reinvigorating Buddhism in eastern Tibet in the wake of the Cultural Revolution.

    Childcare is offered every Sunday at the Shambhala Center from 10:00 AM - 12:15 PM, (except Sunday, December 22nd), for people with children wishing to attend this event. For more details  please see our Sunday Morning page.

    Prerequisites: None, open to everyone, and no previous experience with meditation is necessary.
