Ziji Seattle Young Meditators' Group
“Ziji” is the Tibetan word for the innate, brilliant confidence possessed by all beings. Rooted in the Shambhala Buddhist Tradition, the Ziji Collective is a global community working towards a view of enlightened society: a society that is uplifted, caring, gentle, and wakeful.
We are Seattle Ziji, a group of young meditators in our 20s and 30s coming together for meditation, conversation, and action. This group is a way to connect and share space and ideas with others who are interested in meditation and mindfulness, communication and social engagement. All are welcome, regardless of age or spiritual tradition.
We meet on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month at the Seattle Shambhala Center (3107 E Harrison St, Seattle WA) from 7:00pm - 8:00pm.
Meeting format may include:
- Sitting practice (30 minutes)
- Readings and contemplative exercises
- Group or pair discussions
- Social meditation exercises
Occasionally there may be a change in the schedule — so it’s always good to check the calendar before you come, to be sure we are meeting on any given Monday.
