A 6-class course on The Heart Sutra for vajrayana students.  We will explore the ground of prajna, the journey to emptiness, and the fruition of wisdom and compassion.

This course will have a high level of participation and will be a hybrid between a traditional lecture series and a book study group.  Each class will feature a short talk and generous discussion time. Everyone will be asked to generate questions and lead discussion at different points during the course.

Prerequisite: Completion of Sacred World Assembly or Seminary.

Course Readings:

Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche, Shunyata, from Garuda III, pages 42 – 54, to be handed out.

The Dalai Lama, Essence of the Heart Sutra, Chapters 6 - 11. Please read Chapter 6 before the first class, if possible.
