If we seek a meaningful life, there are so many choices: Secular or spiritual, activist or contemplative, academic or practical… The tradition of Shambhala has the depth of all of these, but also the simplicity and accessibility that is so necessary in our chaotic times.

We may tend to worry a lot and scatter our energy. The wisdom traditions all teach the opposite: Settle, focus, and rely on your innate wisdom. This is not to escape, but to develop the insight and compassion needed to act wisely and skillfully.

Everyone is welcome to attend this weekend program. We will draw on the wisdom of Buddhism, Tibetan shamanism, the Quakers, Martin Luther King, Thomas Merton, Karen Armstrong and others. In a gentle environment, we will learn the profound and simple practice of Shambhala Meditation. The program will include talks, practice and discussion.

Our Generosity Policy: We have a generosity policy to make our offerings available to all who wish to participate. If the program price is an obstacle for you, please consider what works for you, and offer as much of the program fee as you can. For those who can offer more than the program price, we have a "patron price". Your generosity in offering the patron price helps cover the costs for others who are not able to pay the full price.

Registration: When registering, you'll have the opportunity to pay online through PayPal (or by credit card), which greatly simplifies the process for us. For further details, see our Program Policies and FAQs page.
