How do we, as meditators, learn to balance a spiritual path with worldly achievement?

Sometimes financial success can seem at odds with spirituality. Yet, the tradition of Shambhala teaches that through meditation practice we can have a fulfilling and prosperous life.

Through generosity, our practice can combine material success while staying true to our spiritual path. Generosity can awaken the inner path of abundance which allows us to have both accomplishment and happiness.

How does this path unfold on a practical level in our lives? In this class series, we will explore this theme in depth. Including meditation training, talks, exercises and discussions, we will discover the essential principles and practices that can lead to a healthy relationship with money and its role in a virtuous life.

Shastri Matthew Lyon is a senior teacher in the Shambhala Buddhist community. He also has been a professional financial advisor for over 34 years. He has worked extensively with countless people in helping them to find a form of financial well-being, which includes inner peace.
