Garden and Outdoor Clean-up Day Gratitude

Many thanks to those who have stepped up to volunteer for the countless tasks necessary to maintain our Center and our community.  In particular, our thanks go out to those who showed up for the Garden and Outdoor Clean-up Day on August 11th.

The tender loving care our volunteers provided included cutting back perennials; composting and mulching garden beds; weeding and watering; sorting through the storage underneath the porch and at the side of the building; washing the outdoor window sills; sanding and painting outside banisters; and making a run or two to the recycling center. In addition, a team took charge of the transportation, offloading and installation of the beautiful new rug in the Center’s community room as well as another beautiful, smaller rug for the Vajrayana shrine room. Both rugs were recently donated by sangha member, Rex Maruca.

Many hands made light work of strengthening the windhorse of our precious practice container, at the same time enjoying the beautiful summer’s day and each other’s company.
