Summer Weekthun

Location: Seattle Shambhala Center, 3107 E Harrison St, Seattle

Sat July 28, arrival day: registration and light supper 5-6:30, program begins at 7:00
Sat August 4, departure day: breakfast and clean-up

Please join us for our summer weekthun, July 28th – August 3rd (August 4th is departure day). The program, to be held at the Seattle Shambhala Center, will include sitting and walking meditation, talks, individual interviews, mindful eating and work periods. Open to everyone.

This program fulfills one week of the dathun requirement for Shambhala seminary. It will be limited to 20 participants. Priority is given to full-time participants, but partial attendance may be possible, depending on enrollment. You may do the weekthun as a commuter or stay at the Seattle Shambhala Center in the shrine room or, weather permitting, in a tent. Everyone is strongly encouraged to stay on site if at all possible.

Jenny Bondurant is a long-time practitioner with years of teaching experience and a very warm teaching style. She completed the three-year retreat at Gampo Abbey. She will give talks on traditional dharma teachings as well as the Five Wisdom Energies.
